Why we bothered to come all this way on a motorbike…

Our day of riding between Estamariu and Bielsa was the most spectacular of the trip, and one of the best we’ve ever done. Words can’t really explain the exhilaration, nor the sense of being the luckiest person in the world. Will show some pictures instead on the ride to Bielsa and then Sos, which deserves a post of its own.

  1. hey short4missd. Great blogging and beautiful photos. We’ve had horizontal rain here in Canberra over the last couple of days so your pictures of summer and sunshine remind us that our turn for that will come and we should love the weather we’ve got. But it makes training for the tour de timor an interesting experience when the greatest hazard here is hypothermia and the greatest hazard there is heat exhaustion. That 10th century church looks amazing. Hard to imagine a place of gathering and religion lasting through so much time. Maybe the place is so nice that no army ever wanted to have a battle or go on a pillage there.

  2. Hi Dottie
Just caught up on your blog. Looks like an amazing trip! It is certainly a pity that heat (or cold, for that matter) can make even the best things a bit painful. Maybe one day we’ll evolve out of that. I have lots of shiny photos too, they’re not the best holidays snapshots hey?! Hope you keep enjoying yourselves!
    Love Ali
